Hinge is stuck in the disengaged position

If your Wayzn gets physically stuck in the upright disengaged position it may be that the hinge locking mechanism just needs a little lubrication.  With a Q-tip and a little vaseline, the problem can often be resolved.

Steps:

1.  Remove the frame adapter from the wall's door frame by pulling up slowly on the adhesion tape until the adapter and Wayzn unit is released from the wall, or sliding your Wayzn off the wedge if in use.   Next, unscrew the four white screws that attach the frame adapter to the Wayzn device.

2. On a solid surface such as step use a cloth to protect the adapter and push down firmly down on the hinge to release it until it slides into the frame adapter as shown on the right.

If you can't get the hinge to retract this way, you can also try using a flat-head screwdriver to free the hinge. Insert the screwdriver head between the hinge and the hinge lock and apply a slight twisting motion while gently pushing the hinge back into the frame adapter.

3. Now use a Q-tip and a little vaseline to lubricate the hinge as shown.

4. Last engage and disengage the hinge into and out of the frame adapter a few times.  If it's moving smoothly again then re-attach the frame adapter to your Wayzn and re-attach to the wall frame using the additional tape originally provided with your Wayzn, or slide it onto the wedge if in use.
