Allowing additional users to use your Wayzn
After you have successfully added Wayzn to your initial mobile device (primary master user) you can add additional users to use your Wayzn to open and close the door. This is done by sharing a 'key' to your additional user by way of QR code in your Wayzn app.
Steps:
- Have your additional user install the Wayzn app using his or her own unique email account. Do not use the same email as the primary user!
- As the primary user open the app and your Wayzn device and click on the 'Additional Users' menu item from the '...' menu.
- As the primary user click 'Add User', enter your additional user's name, and press continue. A QR code will appear.
- Have the additional user click the 'Add Wayzn' button and select 'Scan QR Code' from the popup. The app may prompt for permission to use the camera. Accept the permission request and point the camera to scan the QR code on the primary user's device from step 3.
- The Wayzn Device should now appear within the additional users Wayzn app and after a few seconds turn green with an 'Online' status. The additional user can now use your Wayzn.
Notes/Troubleshooting:
- You should only add additional users in person and never share the QR code over the internet tot keep access to your Wayzn secure.
- If your additional user isn't able to connect to Wayzn and status stays in 'Connecting' only on their device try having them uninstall and reinstall the Wayzn app, revoke the additional user on the primary users Wayzn app, and follow the steps above.
Removing an additional user (Revoke)
Removing an additional user is done by revoking the key for that user on the primary user's device.
Steps:
- If possible first have the additional user 'swipe' the Wayzn device within his/her app and delete the Wayzn.
- As the primary user open the app and your Wayzn device and click on the 'Additional Users' menu item from the '...' menu.
- Click on the 'Revoke' button next to the additional user. This will deactivate the key on the Wayzn device itself preventing the key from being used by anyone.
